Been a while.

Five years since my last post. I got married, adopted a dog, had a baby and need to lose 100 pounds. Today is Day 1 of finding a strength I lost somewhere.

I have 20-30 lbs. to lose by my wedding in February. At least 10-15 of those need to come off by my first dress fitting November 5th! Ugh!

It's been a millenium!

I think I will have to start posting on this blog again. I gave up...gained 90 lbs. and now I will be getting matrried...maybe in December. Time to lose some of that weight! Ugh.

What the hell!?!?!?

I was starting anew again today...for good...and I did SOOOOO good ALL day!!! Oatmeal and OJ for breakfast, a meal replacement shake for a snack, and a sandwich for lunch. And then....

I skipped my afternoon snack...just totally forgot. Got lazy and didn't go to the gym. But that's not the worst of it....

I went crazy....

1 string cheese

2 hardboiled eggs

1/2 a pint of Ben & Jerry's Half Baked ice cream

1/2 a cup (at least) of leftover potato salad

1 bag of Cheez-Its

And...6 Oreos

I'm surprised I'm not barfing up a lung.

I'm hoping I'm think I'm such a disgusting, glutenous pig...I won't eat a thing!

We'll see what happens...

So, I've been dating someone new, and he really wants to get into shape, too. I really love the way that he believes in me and in my "expertise". I also love the way he always says, "We can do this. Together." I've been alone for most of my life. In a lot of ways. It's never been "we" when it counts.

So, last week, we walked 30 minutes, 3 days out of of 5. About 2 miles per walk. And, that's about as far as we got. Then, we both got sick.

I really need to work on the food thing, but for now I'm concentrating on getting my body back to the way it was 4 years ago. Much smaller and a lot more muscle. I hate it so much right now.

So, now we're both feeling better, and we'll start walking again next week. Then hopefully we can get into some kind of "jumstart" and start hitting the gym. He has a membership at the same gym I do, so that will be nice.

Everyday it's just about getting up and starting over until it becomes habit.

I did it...

Two days in a row. My legs were killing me from my workout with Ray Ray the Killer yesterday, but I forced myself to do 30 minutes of cardio on the treadmill today. I might need a wheelchair tomorrow. I've been really, really well. Except for all that damn mayo the Cafe at my work put on my sandwich. Oh, well, off to eat a baked potato and salad.
